Signing in and security — Your account docs

Go to Sign in.
Enter your Email address and Password.
Choose Sign in.

You arrive at Your account. If you opened an invitation link before signing in, you go back to the invitation instead, so you can accept it.

If you have not confirmed your email address yet, you are taken to the step where you enter the code from the email instead.

You stay signed in on that browser for 30 days, or until you sign out.

Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, your face or your device’s PIN instead of a password. There is nothing to remember and nothing that can be stolen from us, because only its public half is stored.

Add a passkey

Sign in with your password.
On Your account, under Passkeys, choose Add a passkey.
Follow your browser’s or device’s prompt.

You see Passkey added. You can sign in with it from now on. Add one on each device you use. If you see This browser cannot make passkeys., use another browser or device.

Go to Sign in.
Enter your Email address.
Choose Sign in with a passkey and follow the prompt.

Sign in with a passkey appears only in browsers that support passkeys. If your account has none yet, you see There is no passkey on this account yet. Sign in with your password, then add one.

Forgotten password

On Sign in, choose Forgot your password?
Enter your Email address and choose Send the code.
Enter the six-digit Code from the email, and a New password of at least 12 characters.
Choose Set the new password.

You are taken back to sign in, which says Your password is changed. Sign in with the new one. The new password is checked against leaked passwords in the same way as when you created your account.

Change your password

On Your account, under Password, enter your Current password.
Enter a New password of at least 12 characters.
Choose Change password.

Sign out

On Your account, choose Sign out. You are signed out on that browser. Signing out on one browser does not sign you out on others.

Messages you may see

Message	What to do
That email and password do not match an account.	Check both. If you have forgotten the password, reset it.
Too many attempts. Wait a while and try again.	Several attempts were made in a short time. Wait, then try again.
Sign in first. or Sign in again.	Your session has ended. Sign in again.
Your current password is not right.	When changing your password, retype the current one.
