Organisations

An organisation is a company, a team or a school on nixtoffice.com. Nixt DNA Server deployments and their licences belong to an organisation, not to a person, so that they stay with the organisation when people come and go.

Everyone in an organisation has a role. The person who creates it is its first owner.

Create an organisation

You get one automatically if you chose My organisation when you created your account. To create one at any other time:

1. Sign in and go to Your account.
2. Open Create an organisation (or Create another organisation, if you already belong to one).
3. Enter the Organisation name and choose Create organisation.

You are its owner. Invite others from its People list; see Inviting people.

Your organisations

The Organisation section of Your account shows one organisation at a time: its name, your role in it, its People, and its Nixt DNA Server deployments.

If you belong to more than one, choose which to show from the Organisation list at the top of the section.

Leave an organisation

1. In the organisation’s People list, find your own row, marked (you).
2. Choose Leave, and confirm.

You need a new invitation to come back. An organisation always has an owner, so the last owner cannot leave: make someone else an owner first. See Roles.
