Nixt DNA Server deployments — Your account docs

A deployment is one place Nixt DNA Server runs for your organisation, such as “Head office”. Each one has a type, which says where the server runs and who runs it. Owners and administrators add deployments; see Roles.

The types

Your cloud, run by us	In your own cloud account, so the data stays there.	Us: we set it up, run it and update it for you.	Comes with the subscription.

A hybrid deployment takes one of three shapes:

Cloud edge — our cloud receives and filters your mail; your server keeps the mailboxes.
Split mailboxes — some people’s mailboxes are in our cloud and the rest on your server, under one domain.
Cloud standby — a copy in our cloud takes over while your server is down.

Add a deployment you run yourself

Sign in, go to Your account, and choose the organisation.
Under Nixt Server, choose Add a deployment.
Choose On-premise or Your own cloud, run by you.
Optionally, enter A name for it, so you can tell deployments apart.
Choose Get the free licence.

Your free licence is ready appears, with the two licence files to download and the steps to install them. See Nixt DNA Server licences, then install Nixt DNA Server.

Ask for a deployment we run

Under Nixt Server, choose Add a deployment.
Choose Our shared cloud, Hybrid, Our cloud, run by us or Your cloud, run by us. For Hybrid, also choose its shape.
Enter roughly how many Mailboxes you need — the number of people who will sign in.
Choose Where your mail is kept: European Union, United Kingdom or United States.
Optionally, add Anything we should know, such as when you want to start or what you use now.
Choose Send the request.

The deployment appears with Request received, and someone from Nixt Office contacts you at your account’s email address to set it up. Nothing is charged when you send the request.
