Release notes
How Nixt DNA Server releases are numbered and supported, how to see which version you run, and where each release’s changes are listed.
Each release of Nixt DNA Server is listed on this page, newest first, with what it adds, changes and fixes, and anything to do before or after upgrading.
Version numbers
Releases follow semantic versioning: major.minor.patch.
- A patch release fixes problems and changes nothing you rely on.
- A minor release adds features. You can skip minor releases when you upgrade.
- A major release may change how something works. Upgrade through each major release’s last version in turn.
A release reads the two store formats before its own. To go back to the version an upgrade replaced, run nixt-server upgrade --rollback. See Upgrades.
Release channels
Releases come on two channels, stable and lts (long-term support).
Which version you run
nixt-server --version
Before you upgrade
upgrade --check names the release on offer and the last day your release is supported. upgrade review lists what the new release changes on your server, before anything changes. See Before an upgrade.
